Dogheads are demons of the West Balkans mythology. They are cave-dwellers and originate from the depth of cave-lakes. According to myth, dogheads used to leave their caves only during the night in order to have their meals in graveyards. In time, they became braver and braver and started attacking villages and towns. The myth says that people waged war against the doghead tribes and drove them back to the darkness of caves. Myths of dogheads have been living up to present days, particularly in Southern Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia. My model represents a doghead from the time when these creatures were at the peak of their power.
